Ernesto Maranje and Goldman Global Arts teamed up with Florida Power & Light (FPL) to create a mural for the wall surrounding the new battery storage facility in the heart of Wynwood.
The mural depicts flamingos and a Florida panther gaining energy from the sun and solar panels. Bright splashes of color, organic elements, and animals in motion give this mural a huge impact.
The battery storage facility is the first of its kind in an urban area. The 33-foot-high facility holds batteries that will store energy for the sprawling neighborhood and help FPL explore new ways to store energy.
