Where the Raspberries Grow
in Hopkins, MN
Ernesto collaborated with the city of Hopkins, Minnesota to paint Where the Raspberries Grow on the exterior of the Little Blind Spot.
The mural features a male, female and fawn white-tail deer, a male and female goldfinch, cone flowers and raspberry bushes. Hopkins has a rich history of raspberry farming and still holds an annual Raspberry Festival.
The wall runs across The Artery, a bike, pedestrian and vehicle connection and community space on 8th Avenue S stretching from Excelsior Boulevard to Downtown Hopkins.
Where the Raspberries Grow was named the Bronze national winner and Gold region 4 winner (IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, ND, OH, SD, WI) of the National Mural Award 2024.
